Samuel Pang studied viola performance with Prof. Carol Rodland at the Eastman School of Music. First prize winner of the Eastman Viola Concerto competition, Pang made his concerto debut at the Eastman Theatre as a freshman. Subsequently, Pang was awarded every viola and chamber music scholarship and award at the Eastman School during his Bachelor of Music degree program. Pang has performed for Prof. Kim Kashkashian and Prof. Michael Tree in viola masterclasses.
Pang had private lessons with Michael Tree. Pang also played for Michael Tree during the masterclass at the 40th International Viola Congress.

Pang studied with Carol Rodland.

Pang achieved a clean sweep of all the viola and chamber music school awards at the Eastman School during his Bachelor of Music degree program. Pang was regularly the principal violist of the Eastman Philharmonia.

Pang played for Kim Kashkashian during the masterclass at Karen Tuttle Viola Workshop 2012.
